The In Between II

The In Between II
Brass, Natural-dyed Twine

we tend to define our world by perceiving the positive spaces.
a physical point, a physical line, a physical plane.
how about the negative spaces between them?

when we try to visualize the negatives, it’s always amazing for us to see things from another perspective.

{Something about Copper}

The most commonly used metal in our jewellery is copper and brass (alloy of copper).
Brass and copper both have similar characteristics as silver. Due to their stability in structure and rustproof quality, these metals are great materials used in jewellery making.
Even though brass and copper will both react with air and tarnish overtime, when they are used in jewellery, the natural oil on our skin together with natural wear and tear in our everyday life create a friction with the metal. This naturally polishes the metal and brings luster to our jewellery without any additional treatments. The surfaces of these metals will gradually shape around the wearer, bringing individuality to each piece.

Studio jeweller

Because of the organic feature of our hands, studio jewellers can never produce identical pieces.

Through cutting, annealing, forming, soldering, polishing and continuous trials on different materials, jewellers give birth to every unique piece with the realization of their concept behind.

Folding Strips Ring
Brass / Silver

the folding is formed with the random lines added on the metal strips.

employing the unique feature of craftsmanship, no identical pieces can be made by the craftsmen’s hands.

with respect to its randomness and uniqueness, every piece in the series become one of a kind study of planes.
